The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) last month a , which includes specific actions to drive change in how federal programs measure and reward value in health care delivery. The roadmap is the product of a series of meetings between government leaders and industry stakeholders, who provided insight into the modernization of HHS quality programs. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúPresident Mary Ann Fuchs, DNP, RN, was one of three representatives of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú and one of 15 industry leaders, along with government representatives, who took part in a three-day summit to kickstart the effort. Fuchs is vice president of patient care and system chief nurse executive at Duke University Health System and associate dean of clinical affairs at Duke University School of Nursing in Durham, N.C.
