Campaign for Action to sunset
AARP, the AARP Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will the Center to Champion Nursing in America and The Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, an initiative begun in 2010 to build a healthier America through nursing. Accomplishments include 27 states and the District of Columbia allowing nurse practitioners to provide care to the full extent of their education and training. The Campaign also increased nurse representation on boards, improved diversity within nursing and tripled the number of RN-to-bachelor-of-science-in-nursing degree graduates between 2009 and 2017. The organizations say the journey toward health equity through and within nursing . They invite nurse leaders to a May 27 celebrating the Campaign and discussing how nurses can continue to advance equity through nursing (Campaign for Action , 5/8/25)
