NCC opposes nursing cuts in administration budget
The Nursing Community Coalition strong opposition to the administration鈥檚 fiscal year 2026 budget, which contains severe cuts, including Title VIII Nursing Workforce Programs and the proposed elimination of the National Institute of Nursing Research. With the exception of Nurse Corps funding, the proposed budget appears to eliminate the remaining Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs, which the NCC says would be 鈥渄evastating and directly impact nursing education, recruitment, practice and retention鈥 and 鈥減ut the pipeline of future nurses and faculty who educate them at risk.鈥 The NCC says eliminating NINR would create 鈥渦nwarranted barriers鈥 to new and existing research and limit scientific innovation and research directly affecting patients. 兔子先生is one of the NCC鈥檚 64 members.
