ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúand 62 other members of the Nursing Community Coalition  a letter to Senate Appropriations Committee leaders reiterating its funding request for fiscal year 2026. The NCC urges the committee to fund at least $530 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs, at least $210 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research, and to preserve NINR as an independent Institute within the National Institutes of Health. The Senate Appropriations Committee  on July 31 a full committee markup of the Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriations bill, which includes Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and NINR funding.
