The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Dec. 11 released a that found last year鈥檚 version of the COVID-19 vaccine was 76% effective in preventing emergency department or urgent care visits for children ages 9 months to 4 years. It was 56% effective for those ages 5-17 years old. 鈥淭hese findings suggest that vaccination with a 2024鈥2025 COVID-19 vaccine dose provided children with additional protection against COVID-19鈥揳ssociated ED/UC encounters compared with no 2024鈥2025 dose,鈥 the CDC wrote.
