Call for Abstracts
The call for abstracts for the 2024 ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúProfessional Governance Leadership Conference is focused on moving from shared to professional governance, including best practices, leadership and impact.
We are looking for abstracts that demonstrate any of the following:
- Professional governance best practices and structures that demonstrate professional accountability, ownership, equity and partnership.
- The impact on patient, nursing, and financial outcomes: Demonstrations of the value of professional governance through measurement of practice, quality, competence and knowledge management.
- The role of leaders: The impact of clinical, administrative and other nurse leaders in professional governance.
Abstract Requirements
The following fields are required for each submission:
- Preferred presentation format (breakout or poster)
- Presentation title (limited to 75 characters with spaces, approx. 10 words)
- Presenter contact information
- NOTE: The submission is limited to 3 presenters (1 primary and 2 co-presenters).
- Brief bio for the primary presenter (limited to 500 characters with spaces, approx. 75-100 word)
- At least one learning outcome describing the impact on the learner (limited to 100 characters with spaces, approx. 20 words)
- Abstract Narrative including practical takeaways that address: lessons learned, impact, outcomes, implications, application to other settings and practice takeaways. (Limited to 5,000 characters with spaces, approx. 750-1,000 words)
- Session Description (up to 500 characters with spaces, approx. 75-125 words)
- Literature references as supporting evidence (APA style)
Tip: Create the abstract in a Word document first to ensure the character limits are met and to avoid spelling errors.
Important Dates for Submitters
- Nov. 15, 2023: Abstract submission site closes at 5:00 p.m. CT. Incomplete abstracts will not be reviewed.
- Feb. 1, 2024: ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúwill notify the primary presenter of their submission status via email.
- June 1, 2024: Final presentations submitted to AONL.
- June 27-28, 2024: ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúProfessional Governance Leadership Conference, Chicago
