Hassmiller reflects on advances in nursing leadership during her career

When she started her career, Sue Hassmiller, PhD, RN, never imagined she would one day support the development of nursing leadership programs 鈥渢hat have produced some our country鈥檚 top nursing leaders,鈥 she in a blog post this month. Hassmiller stepped down from her role as senior advisor for nursing at the Robert Wood Johnson鈥疐oundation after 25 years with the organization, which has long supported nursing leadership through its prestigious fellow and scholar programs. Hassmiller also served as senior scholar in residence at the National Academy of Medicine, overseeing two reports on the profession鈥檚 future.
