HHS seeks input on how to reduce regulations
The Health and Human Services Department da 60-day for stakeholders regarding its to remove outdated or unnecessary regulations. The request stems from an requiring HHS to eliminate at least 10 existing regulations for every new regulation introduced. The American Hospital Association recently to a similar administration on deregulation. The AHA鈥檚 recommendations include working with hospitals to develop another sepsis measure in lieu of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid sepsis bundle, which has not improved outcomes; removing many telehealth restrictions; and eliminating restrictions preventing nurse practitioners from practicing to the full extent of their education and training.
